How to Open a Harbix Pay Global Currency Account

Opening a Harbix Pay Global Currency Account is completed entirely online. This article walks through the process step by step — from starting your application to accessing your account and its services.

Before You Begin

The Harbix Pay Global Currency Account is designed for businesses. To be eligible, your business must be a registered legal entity. Individual personal accounts are not currently offered.

The account opening process is handled online and includes identity and business verification steps as required by applicable regulations. Having your company documents ready before you begin will help the process move smoothly.

Documents typically required:

  • Certificate of incorporation
  • Register of directors
  • Articles of association or equivalent constitutional document
  • Proof of registered business address
  • Copies of government-issued identity documents for directors and beneficial owners
  • Proof of address for directors and beneficial owners (where required)

Additional documents may be requested based on your business type or jurisdiction. The compliance team will notify you if anything else is needed.

The Account Opening Process

01

Start Your Application

Visit the Harbix Pay website and select the option to open a Global Currency Account. You will be directed to the online application form. The application is completed digitally — there is no requirement to visit a physical branch or office.

02

Provide Your Business Information

You will be asked to provide information about your business, including the legal name of your company, country of incorporation, type of business activity, and the names of directors and beneficial owners. This information is used to assess your application and to complete required compliance checks.

03

Complete Identity Verification (KYC)

As part of the account opening process, Harbix Pay is required to verify the identity of directors and beneficial owners. This is a standard Know Your Customer (KYC) requirement under anti-money laundering (AML) regulations. You will be asked to provide government-issued identity documents and, in some cases, proof of address.

04

Submit Required Business Documents

Business documentation is required to verify the existence and structure of your company. The standard documents requested typically include your certificate of incorporation, register of directors, articles of association or equivalent constitutional document, and proof of your business address. Additional documents may be requested depending on your business type, country of incorporation, or the nature of your business activity.

05

Application Review

Once your application and all required documents have been submitted, the Harbix Pay compliance team will review your application. This review is a standard part of the onboarding process for all accounts. During this stage, the compliance team may contact you if additional information or clarification is required.

06

Account Approval

If your application is approved, you will receive confirmation by email. The confirmation will include your account details and relevant reference information. You will also receive official documentation relating to your account and the applicable privacy and data protection policy.

07

Access Your Global Currency Account

Following approval, you can access your Global Currency Account through the Harbix Pay platform. Your account will show your available currency balances, dedicated account details for receiving payments, and options for managing, converting, and sending funds.

08

Start Using the Supported Services

With your account active, you can begin using the services available to your account — including receiving payments in supported currencies, holding balances, converting between currencies, and making outbound payments to suppliers and partners in supported markets.

What You Can Do With Your Account

Once your account is active, the services available to you depend on your approved account type and the currencies supported for your market. Your account dashboard will show your currency balances, dedicated receiving account details, and the options available to you.

The Harbix Pay Global Currency Account is designed to support businesses operating across Arab markets (including AED, SAR, QAR, KWD, BHD, OMR, JOD, and EGP) and key international markets (including USD, HKD, GBP, and EUR). The level of service — receive, hold, convert, send — varies by currency and market. Details on supported currencies and services are available on the Global Currency Account page.

Receive Payments

Accept transfers from clients and business partners in supported currencies.

Hold Balances

Keep funds in multiple currencies without forced conversion.

Convert Currencies

Exchange between supported currencies at transparent rates.

Send Payments

Make outbound payments to suppliers, employees, and partners in supported markets.

Important Notes

Compliance verification is mandatory

All applications go through a compliance review. This is a regulatory requirement, not an optional step. Providing complete and accurate documentation at the time of application helps avoid delays.

Service availability varies by market

Not all features are available in all markets. The ability to send payments in a given currency depends on regulatory permissions and correspondent banking relationships in that market. Confirm availability with the team before relying on a specific service for your business.

This is a business account

The Harbix Pay Global Currency Account is designed for registered businesses. Personal accounts for private individuals are not currently available.
